A case with DHL: they ask me to pay back the insurance money for a lost item because my item arrived, should I?

A case with DHL: they ask me to pay back the insurance money for a lost item because my item arrived, should I? I ask this because it was a really long time, is there a time limit?

Other answer:

ajjsjal:
Of course you have to pay it back. You were reimbursed for the cost of a lost item, which is no longer lost. You got the item. You don't get to keep the item AND the money.
Merlene:
Really? You're so unfamiliar with the concept of honesty and doing what's right you ask "should I?"

If you're a dishonest thief, keep the money and wait for them to sue you.

If you value your integrity and think it's important to do what's right, give it back.

Everyone's integrity has its price. Honest people go through life never finding out what that price is. I'm always amazed at how cheap dishonest people will sell out their integrity.

Fair is fair. You got your item, so pay them back in the same manner they pay you the insurance money. If it took them 3 weeks to pay you, arrange for payment to them in the same time period.
