Are people able to tell others what someone bought or tried to buy from them?

ok. say someone was trying to buy something from a buisness. and the buisness wouldnt sell it to them because of age/career rank/sex/race or anything. Just would not sell them the product. are the buisness able to tell others that you tried to buy it

Other answer:

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. It's not hiring or rental property where discrimination laws apply. It's my business, I don't like you, get out.
a business has no obligation to tell you what someone bought, it is none of your business
he might like to brag about what he is selling but in a general manner, not a specific customer
