Can anyone tell me what PA law is for landlords returning security deposit.?

Other answer:

Usually, between 30 – 60 days.
probably the same as any other state, if no damages were found the deposit would be issued within 30 days
PA indicates return within 20 days after legally vacating the premises. However, if there are damages involved, that period may be extended.

Security deposits have to be returned to the tenant within 30 days of vacating the property.…

If you are disputing any charges against the security deposit by the landlord, did you "walk" the unit before handing in your keys?
You have the right to challenge any unreasonable charges.
The only way to get money out of someone who owes you is to sue them. However, remember that when you sue someone, the burden of proof is yours.

Even if you might now the time frame in which a a deposit would be legally required to be returned to a former
tenant, there might be a few variances.

The best way to find out this information in your state is to contact the local landlord tenant group. This group would be able to inform you of the time requirement of Pa. they would also be able to inform you of any variance, where a landlord might return the deposit later than normal. This agency would offer this information to you at n cost.

You would need to google for this organization followed by the city and state in which you reside.

I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.
