Can I do classes for a bunch of totally different things?

It's a bit early for me to be thinking about this but I'm thinking about my education and my career in the future. I'm only going to be a freshman in high school next year but I'm really stumped.

Lately, I've been really interested in shows like Criminal Minds and figuring out such complex cases. I have also been interested in being a detective sort of thing even when I was younger. I have also always been told I'm a good thinker and I tend to look outside of the box and in between line. (Not many people like watching movies or films with me lol).

I've also had my dad tell me about engineering and technology. I was always interested in technology but I feel like I wouldn't be good at engineering. I like the idea, but I feel like I would never be able to figure out anything besides basic coding and design.

Finally, (sorry this is so long lmao) I was always interested in art as well. People have always commented on simple sketches and told me I should go into art. Recently, I was looking at animation and character design and thinking about that.

Sorry this is so long..

PIck one and do it right. Doing everything half-assed won't get you far. The rest of it you can treat as hobbies, but there's a difference between professionally qualified and kinda interested. Malcolm Gladwell puts the hours you need to be expert at something at 10,000 – so what can you see yourself doing for 10,000 hours and enjoying it? Do that.

I choose Technology as my major. I choose Technology because i feel like theres more jobs out there that require technology. I really like cooking or having my own business, but that's more like a hobby.
amanda:
yes, you can have a major, and a minor.(at the same time) but you can also get a degree in as many things as you want. you have some time, don't let this stump you!

While it is indeed to early to tell, there are ways by which you can figure out what jobs are ideal for you. Try this Job Match tool from PayScale.com, http://bitly.com/1i8VFn0 .
