I m 16 so I can t really have a good job though I m planning of being a preschool teacher assistant when I m older and could actually work but right now I wanna help my family out and you know.. Spoil myself sometimes. So I got my first job at goodwill and I had to stand for so long and didn t sit at all during the hours I worked. Don t be rude. It was my first day so I finally understand how hard it is to work. I like the job but my whole body is sore even if I just put away the clothes and unlocked the dressing rooms and cleaned up after the store closed. How can I handle with my sore body? or any advice so I won t get tired and stressed out?

Best Answer:

Jasmine: Even if you don't go to a gym, your body will eventually get used to it. Give it a few weeks, if you want to be in retail then you're going to have to get used to standing for long periods of time.
Also get your self some comfortable shoes and or use insoles if you have to.
Take your breaks when you're supposed to, bring healthy snacks with you too.
By the way my brother in law's daughter works for a barn mucking out stalls and taking care of their horses, she loves it.

Jasmine:
Use some of your pay to pay for a gym membership and work out on Saturdays or Sundays, or both. Strengthen your body. At your age, you should be able to stand for 8 hours. Advice in the meantime: Move around a bit.
CantHaveItBothWays:
Wear comfortable shoes with good arch support. Drink plenty of water. Get regular exercise. Take a bath with Epsom Salts to relieve the soreness.
