How to get derogatory old accounts off credit?

I have some stupid things on my credit
old cable bills and I can't afford to pay all these things off
How do I get these things off without paying or negotiated to pay less
I'm trying to buy a home by augustnof 2017

Other answer:

If you plan on not paying them, you won't be buying a house anytime soon unless you can pay cash for the house. Creditors no longer do pay-for-deletes since the credit bureaus got wise and are now cancelling memberships of companies that do pay-for-deletes (the idea behind a credit report or credit score is to accurately reflect your risk – the info is not accurate, your risk cannot be reflected). You will just have to wait until these accounts drop off your report after 7 years (as long as there is an open balance on the accounts, they will not get less important since open accounts reflect badly). The only way to start the process of cleaning up your credit is to pay the accounts (in full is better than a settlement).
By doing nothing. Doing nothing is the only way that you can get things off your credit. You cannot get things off your credit by doing anything. They are removed soonest if you do nothing. If you do nothing, then they are removed as soon as they are 7 or 7 1/2 years old. If you do something, then they cannot be removed until they are 7 or 7 1/2 years old, and might not be removed even then, because you did something.
If the items are correct then there is absolutely nothing that you can do to get them off your history, including paying them off.

It sounds like you will not be in a position to buy a house next year.
