glennique:
You cannot rent anything without first having sufficient monthly income.
glenn:
Go visit first. Look at places to stay and walk thru them. Look around for what the employment is like and if you belong to a church visit a similar church while you are there. The find a very cheap place to rent at first while you are getting settled. Studies show that the reason most people become homeless is that they have no network of friends or family to fall back on in an emergency. So try and have plenty of money for emergencies since you are moving away from your network.
Bob:
You need to figure out a budget, and save 6 months of expenses to make that type of move

If you move to an area near a large city, like Atlanta, you'll have a better chance of finding a job quickly. Move into an inexpensive extended-stay motel in the suburbs for a couple of weeks while you look for a starter job. If you don't have a car, public transportation in the Atlanta area is very good. When you find a stable job, get a roommate or two and rent an inexpensive apartment. Then start moving up, getting some training at local schools, build experience, get better jobs, and improve your life situation. It won't be fast or easy, but it can be done. Good luck.
