Okay, so I won't say where but it's like Walmart and the only place where I live that has mostly everything you need. I was caught shoplifting almost $200 with my best friend (I took below a hundred dollars). We have court meeting and they said they'll be sending us a letter that has a fine from the manager of the store. I haven't received it yet, but I've been needing to get something from there, but they said I can't go back because it'll be trespassing. My parents won't get it for me and like I said, it's the only place that sells mostly everything you need from where I live. (IM SERIOUS ABOUT THAT.) I can't find any other places where to get the stuff I need except online, but sometimes they don't ship from where I live and shipping is expensive. So, what do I do? Should I wait for a few months then go back?
I KNOW WHAT I DID WAS DUMB. DON'T NEED TO LECTURE ME. IF YOU'RE JUST GONNA PUT NEGATIVE COMMENTS, MIGHT AS WELL SAVE YOUR TIME AND GO LOOK FOR ANOTHER QUESTION TO ANSWER.
But for those who are nice enough to answer nicely and help, Thank you (:
brian: If you go back, then they can charge you with trespassing as they have given you notice that you are no longer welcome in their store. And you'll have to pay a fine or face some other penalty. Your options are to ask someone else to shop there for you, or to order online.
Sometimes, you can't just erase mistakes. This is probably one of those times. In about a year or so, if you're a minor, you can write to the store and ask for your shopping privileges to be reinstated (assuming that you don't trespass). If you've kept your nose clean, and you claim that you've seen the error of your ways and you realize that you really do like to shop there and miss being able to do it, then the manager might give you another chance. But it will be your only chance to prove that you won't shoplift again, with that store.
If your parents won't do it, it's most likely because they are trying to ground you even further. Talk to them about it and explain (in a calm and collective voice) that the fine is the punishment and it's not your parents responsibility, but rather the stores. If even after that they continue to act that way then they are seriously neglecting you, and that's serious. If it's getting to a point where you're not even getting food to the point you're starving, as well as hygeniec products, you might want to consider calling the authorities. Next, ask your friends for help. I'm pretty sure you have one more friend besides the one you shoplifted with. Give them a list of things you need, and then pay them the amount they paid for the items. If anything else, you might just need to order online. I hope I helped!
Trying to go back to that store after a couple of months would be about as stupid a decision as your decision to shoplift from there in the first place. If you can't find friends or family members to buy things from that store for you, you're just gonna have to make other accommodations. Simple as that.
Nope, you go back in and they recognize you, they can arrest you and actually charge you for the original crime. If you don;t pay that fine they send you they can also go back and arrest you for the original crime. That fine they send you is going to be 500 or more to. You accepted their terms to the banishment and the fine for not pressing charges, if you break you end of the agreement then they have no choice but to pursue you through all legal means available, and they will. The cost of the item doesn't matter, it means nothing how small or insignificant you believe the item was. It is the act.
Tough don't steal then you dont get banned
Pay someone to purchase it for you….or wear a disguise.
Stop trying to pretend that you are a victim.
