If I buy a gift card at a 76 station, will it count as a cash advance if I pay for it with a 76 credit card?

Other answer:

Most places don't allow you to buy a gift card with a credit card. But if you can, it will be treated as a cash advance with the higher interest rate. You could pay $4.95 for the card + a 3%-5% cash advance fee + the face value of the card + plus 29% interest until the cash advance is paid off. Note that unless you pay more than the card's minimum payment, interest on that cash advance accumulates. It can be a very expensive gift.
idk; but contrary to the others I can buy gift cards with my credit cards as a regular purchase. – so my GUESS would be it is a regular transaction.
Please read your credit card agreement.
