Is it wrong for my boss to be judgemental on the way I work?

Ok so I work at a grocery store and my manager always has something to say about me to piss me off. Today he chooses to judge me on the way I ring up groceries. Ive always typed in the 4 digit codes on produce because I'm more comfortable doing it and it's a habit but he gets on to me for it even though

Ive always typed in the 4 digit codes on produce because I'm more comfortable doing it and it's a habit but he gets on to me for it even though I've done it ever since I've done register which was like a month or so ago. He says it's more "faster" so I did it today and sometimes it didn't work and I would just type the code like I've always done. Is it wrong for him to do this. I'm just doing my job and getting things done like he wants. That's all that should matter.

Austin:
Bosses have the right to tell you how to work. That's part of being an employee. The answer is to do as he says and all will be peace and light.
A Hunch:
You have been working the register an ENTIRE month.
That is not a very long time. Start doing the job right. If not, you risk being let go or moved back to your old posiiton.

I think he's just trying to help. It's not wrong for him to want to help you do better. Try it out and see if it's actually faster. Have a chat with him, just tell him thanks but I've got a good way of doing this all ready.
Emme:
Yes tell them to piss off
