Yesterday I was smoking weed with my friends, we got caught by a police officer and he put us on the record. In job interviews they ask you if you have one, and I know I have to tell the truth. Is it going to be hard for me to get a job now that i've got a record of me smoking weed? Will the interviewer care
Yesterday I was smoking weed with my friends, we got caught by a police officer and he put us on the record. In job interviews they ask you if you have one, and I know I have to tell the truth. Is it going to be hard for me to get a job now that i've got a record of me smoking weed? Will the interviewer care that much? Do I explain myself about it or just let them think what they'll think? I don't know what to do. I've never had a job before, and now this has got in the way as well
How was it in jail? Oh, you were NOT put in jail? How did it feel to be arrested? Oh, you were not arrested? How was the judge? Oh, you were not in front of a judge? When is your indictment? Oh, you're not going to be indicted? How are your weed smoking friends doing? Oh, you lost track of your friends? What did your parents tell you after your incident with the police officer? Oh, they don't know about the police officer? Oh, They don't know about the weed smoking? Bottom line, you are living a charmed life. Move on to Heroin. The door is open. The coast is clear. You'll figure it out after your next incident with the police officer.
They are going to ask if you have any felony (or maybe even misdemeanor) convictions. A conviction occurs after a judge or jury declares you guilty of a crime. Employers will not generally see your arrest record.
if in your state it is illegal to have the substance at all it could mean jail time and will be something an employer may check before hiring you
if he is someone who is not stupidly in favor of this form of recreation he problaby won't hire you, I know for sure I would not hire you
"he put us on the record." I don't even know what that means? Were you arrested? Have you been charged with a crime? How about convicted?
You can be on the record but not convicted. You do not have to say anthing unless you were convicted.
unless you are convicted, you do NOT have a record. So you can honestly answer, you don't have a record (based on this one thing).
Prison for you.
