Do you think it's a bit desperate to share the email with the manager? Or a valid way of showcasing one's progress?

I think it's okay but you should try to just do your job without having to be told "well done." BTW I want to congratulate you because to be honest… you don't seem to really appreciate your job based on some questions you have asked before. I'm not saying exactly what, but some have had to do with hiding so you don't have to do it. Just look at some of your questions over the past year. I know you may be kidding, but I think you might joke about it a little too often and should try appreciating your job more. It's how you live so you can pay for food and water!
Mrs H:
No, that's what the customer feedback is for. It helps management know what's what and who the good people are.

feedback can be helpful if the manager wants to know how to make his business more receptive to the customer

One thing I learned in life……………..if you don't blow your own horn……..no one else is gonna blow it for you.

You foward those emails………because if they were negative emails……you would surely be hearing about it………..so make sure they see the GOOD emails as well.

I once worked in a place, where customers were encouraged to leave comments in a suggestion box, about how the employees treated them.

Most of the staff were lazy and rude and would ridicule the customers……and wouldn't lift a finger to help.

I Always went out of my way to be super nice to the customers……..and whenever the manager read the comments……….90% of them would be about ME.

and then he would promote his brain dead nephew anyway…………..but still………..
