Should I have reported this coworker for having a nasty attitude, and did he physically threaten me?

I was trying to work, I asked the guys a question and then he started talking to me and started insulting.
Then he said he is about to, "go off." on me, since he was all ready going off verbally I thought he meant physically.

I asked him was he going to hit me and then he said, " I dont

By the way he was acting I was really worried that he was going to hit me. Another coworker, at that same moment defended the guy saying his shift starts very early and that he wasn't threatening me

I wanted to report him because I was pissed, but I didnt because we have been working for 13 hours, and his shift started again in 6 hours. In the break room even his own friend that he buys food for said that he would have defended me if he stuck me.

Since today is the end of seasonal, he came in the break room and shook everyones hand and said goodbye to them except me.

Should I have reported him, or was I right in not doing so? I feel that he is going to get his in the future.
I am a woman, and I knew he could knock me out if he wanted to.

Invictus: You should try to stay away from him for the meantime while observing if he will still be reacting the same way after a few days or weeks. But you should definitely let another co-worker or even your immediate team leader/supervisor about it (without letting the guy in question know) so others can keep an eye on him while protecting you as well.

Sure, these types always get their just rewards. But, your goal is to stay away from him and out of his sight line. Just stay way out of his way. Don't look at him in the eye. And if you can avoid being trapped, all the better. Just think of this. You are sitting in the break room. He enters carrying a shotgun. You have a wall behind you and he is at the door. You are trapped. Now what?

You say you wanted to report him because you was pissed that is never a good reason to report someone.
Jackie m:
He was full of hot hair and trying to scare you but would not have done anything, ignore him and move on, it is his loss not yours.
Toby:
God will punish him.
Tim:
Leave the idiot alone.
