Small claims Court?

I didn't have enough for rent this month. I told the management in advance and they filed. I do have records showing how much I would have at the time I I needed to pay rent. I actually gave them a check and it bounced. At the time I did have it, but then my wife's cars over heated and that was 600 and it

I didn't have enough for rent this month. I told the management in advance and they filed. I do have records showing how much I would have at the time I I needed to pay rent. I actually gave them a check and it bounced. At the time I did have it, but then my wife's cars over heated and that was 600 and it was either rent plus late fees plus the bounced check amount or all other bills so I chose all other bills.

When I go before the magistrate what will most likely happen because I won't have the rent by then either honestly however I will be moved out. Will it be possible to ask for installment payments? Like over 6 months I pay all fees and rent in full?

The management isn't a landlord who owns the property they are just that management of apartment home's
Help? Thanks

At the time I did have enough, (but then I wrote a bad check/debit transaction to the auto mechanic)…
This is illegal and in most communities it is punishable by a fine of 3 times the value of the bounced check.

Did you really purchase a car 4 weeks ago? If you did, I hope the property management company files criminal charges against you for the bounced check!!!

You wasted money going to the movies…
What other money have you wasted lately that could have been spent on the car repair or rent?
Did you also spend money on the holidays???

If you don't pay the rent plus whatever else is owed plus court costs within x number of days it will go on as a CCJ on your credit record and remain there until you pay it, then you will have to get an certificate of satisfaction recorded to show anyone running a credit check on you that it is paid…. however as the landlord immediately filed, it is highly likely they will also appoint a bailiff to collect and your bill will then increase because of their costs

baby boomer reminds me of the holly hunter character in the movie The Firm….she was a paralegal who got under gary buseys dest and gave hime a ******** interesting …small claims court,…not housing court to evict…small claims court has no authority to evict…they have no authority to force you to pay…just render a verdict and if you lose a judgement….all the landlord can get is money owed plus about 100 bucks that it cost to file….6 weeks for court…another 20 days to get the judgement…..by that time you will be current….right…might have to edit this to see how stupid other answers you got edit…not bad answers……..reenzz is a moron…she actually said something intelligent….the exception that proves the rule……babyboomer is simply a dumb *****…do you see how she points to all her experience in landlord tenant law….yet this is a simple breach of contract…what was your header SMALL CLAIMS COURT

I would be more concerned with management filing criminal charges against you for passing a bad check. In my area, it's a felony that is punishable by a mandatory year in jail.

You will be evicted and will owe a whole lot more. Landlords DO NOT accept installments.
