STEPHEN:
The complex's insurers have admitted liability so they will pay the deductible to Statefarm.
Ann:
State Farm has told you they will be subrogating the claim with the apartment complex, this means that whatever they pay to fix your car will be reimbursed to them by the complex. Because the accident is not your fault, you do NOT have to pay the deductible to anyone, If the repairs are 4500.00 SF will pay the body shop and the apartment complex will have to reimburse them. In some cases you could have gone directly through the complex without involving the insurance company, but it is convenient for them to go after the complex and pay the shop
Anonymous:
The deductible gets paid to the body shop, by you. You don't pay the insurance company.
GA41:
Because the claim is not being paid by state farm. It is ultimately being paid by the apartment complex insurance. Since they are liable for the damages, you don't have to pay the deductible. IF you would have caused the wreck, your collision insurance would have repaired the car, because you are insured. But you would have had to pay the deductible.
npk:
You don't pay the deductible to the insurer. You'll pay it to the repair shop.

You need to contact your agent about this over-site.
