I run a home business and some checks from customers have not been not showing up. I call, they say they sent but they aren't here. This is important. It is my only income and I have bills to pay.
Dances with Cats: I had the same problem. I have to wonder where you live. I used to have a shop in an industrial park down the road from the county seat – where the county jail is. It turns out that when they release prisoners they give them bus fare. They often pocket the $4.35 to buy "loosies" and walk, checking mail boxes along the way for envelopes what look like they might have checks in them. I was told this by a cop who came to check a break-in on a neighboring shop. I took a walk down the road and found opened envelopes laying on the ground from Social Security and other places addressed to my neighbors.
I got a P.O. Box and changed the address on all of my invoices.
BTW, it is a felony to tamper with the mail in any way. If this happened to me today I would get one of the those cheap "dash cams" they sell on TV, install it in my work truck, train it on the mailboxes and turn it on. Send those jerks to federal prison.
This could be "Trouble with mail" or trouble with the customers claiming payment was sent. Notify your post office and sign up for a P.O.Box.
Get a pay pal account and have your customers pay through that.
Otherwise $95 a year for a P.O. Box is a good investment.
faceing with same problem. waiting for best answer
depends on when and where they were sent
