Unethical company, illegal practices.?

The company my boyfriend works for made him take a week off work with 0 verbal or written warnings, and he has only ever missed work 3 times in over a year of working there. The company my boyfriend works for made him take a week off work with 0 verbal or written warnings, and he has only ever missed work 3 times in over a year of working there. This company also tries to make employees show up early and work off the clock, one supervisor tried to fire another employee during the work day, over the phone, and then another called and said to disregard him. Yet, another employee shows up late, calls off all the time, with 0 repremand. Their checks are never right, and never on time. They never fox work trucks so they work with no AC in a desert summer. Drivers are not on the insurance, so any damage incurred in an accident is on the driver, not the multimillion dollar company Some thing we KNOW are illegal that this company is doing Why are our options? Can OSHA or some other agency look into them?

Emma:
I didn't read anything illegal in your posting. They have the right to send him home for a week and to reprimand him for taking off days that he was not legitimately sick. Since he doesn't like his job, he ought to find another one anyway. Companies don't add employees to the policy the way a parent would add a child. And, if the driver is in a wreck, why should the company pay for that? If the driver isn't at fault, the other driver's insurance will pay for it. If they are uninsured, then your boyfriend can claim it on his insurance. Hopefully, he bought enough insurance to cover it. If not, that is his fault.
Invictus:
It looks unethical indeed and may have even violated some labor laws depending on which state your live in. The employees should be unionized in order to prevent similar issues from happening in the future. If not, see if there is any case you can pursue. Visit a labor office in your area.
Happy Gramps:
YOU don't have any options as you are not the employee ; your friend can either put up with whatever is going on, or look for work elsewhere………………yes, there may be laws that the company is not adhering to BUT there is nothing anyone can do about it w/o a lawyer who knows the legalities involved
Eddy:
I caught my boss (the owner of the company) lying. I was gone in a heart beat. Yes, I was working as a professional driver with Clas A CDL. GONE!!!
Nobody:
he is hired at will, can be fired at will. So he better suk up or lose his job. Maybe it is time for him to look for new job
