I have been shopping at both stores lately. I have compared the prices a few times. It seamed like Target was a few dollars more. But lately it seams like they are both the same price. Walmart is overall cheaper than Target, but you can find some items that are cheaper at Target than at walmart. Target has better quality and modern looking stuff, while Walmart is a more cheaper and cheaper quality stuff, so if you are looking for stuff like household cleaning items, walmart, but if you are looking for stuff like home decor, then I would Target.
Well, here's the thing.
Most goods from Wal-Mart – outside the grocery areas – are from China or other Eastern Asian countries.
Most goods from Target are actually made and manufactured inside the United States. They actually make it a fact to source locally for quality and reliability sake.
Initial cost. You might save a few bucks overall by going to Walmart.
But total costs. For inexpensively manufactured items that you'll likely have to replace after a nominal amount of usage. Will be far greater at Wal Mart.
That, and costs to the United States in income shifting overseas. is greater too with Walmart.
So pick your poison. Immediate costs are less expensive at Walmart.
But long term. Target is less.
Quality the same. Walmart is cheaper at some things than Target but sometimes Target will have better pricing and nicer things. Especially if you look in their clearance aisles.
They're fairly comparable. Walmart may be a bit cheaper on some things, but their merch also tends to be inferior quality. With very few exceptions, I've found it worth it to pay a few cents more per item at Target.
This is the site I use when I shop at walmart.com or target.com to save some cash. If you sing up using the following link and spend overall $25 or more buying whatever you usually buy online, they will mail you a $10 Walmart card. Each time you buy something via this site, you will also get 3% to 20% cash back.
1) Sing up using this link and choose $10 gift card you like
3) Every time you shop online, login to your account and visit Amazon.com, Target.com or whatever the site you go too.
4) This will give you cash back every time and once you spend $25 in total, u will get a gift card as well.
This worked for me every time.
Wal-Mart abd target do pricematching
It's all a moving target and depends on what.
It varies from day to day. Some things are cheaper at one and others at the other.
