Will I be able to find enough customers for my accountancy firm by just doing door 2 door leafleting?

I am studying my accounting course at moment should be done soon.

But I dont want to work for other people, I want to rent a one desk office in a shared office space to start with around £100 p/m city center location.

The make or break will be between getting enough customers. Will door 2 door leafletting

I know for other products / services sales would go through the roof but I have my doubts with accoutancy services as it is business to business and aimed at business owners, basically the marketing seems very niche and too small.

Any of you run a service business like solicitors, IT, advertising etc? Where did you get your customers to start?

I dont want people suggesting word of mouth, that will give me an empty office for the first 12 months.

in the US businesses are required when they apply for a business license in their community to publish what is called a dba, doing business as, with a fictitious name
I sent introduction letters to thousands of them over the span of a few years to introduce them to me as a bookkeeper(not legal to be called an accountant in my state not being certified)
it resulted in customers and along with references from my already established customers I had enough work to do that I wanted

I think you should work at the best company you can get into for several years before opening your own place. Think of it as additional schooling – you'll learn how things are done in the real world, you'll make mistakes on someone else's dime, and you'll meet people in the business community that might be willing to go with you when you open your own place because they know you're good.

You need to employ different marketing methods that are most effective for your new business simultaneously and consistently.
